Why XOD?
Ask ten people to read our name out loud and you will hear ten versions. Eks-oh-dee. Ksod. Zod. Ex-od. We have heard them all. Every single one is correct.
That is not an accident. It is the whole idea.
When we started the agency, we were looking for a name that would represent creativity itself. Not a name that describes what we do, because descriptive names also set limits. We wanted the opposite. A name that leaves room.
So we chose three letters with no fixed meaning and no fixed pronunciation. XOD is open to interpretation by design. The moment you read it, you make a small creative decision of your own. You decide how it sounds. Nobody can tell you that you got it wrong.
A name most companies would consider a branding problem became our clearest statement of who we are.
Where the name comes from
Interpretation is our job. Every brand we work with carries a story that can be told in a hundred different ways. A single production day can become a brand film, a series of vertical videos, a podcast episode, a photo story. Same material, different reading. Our work is choosing the interpretation that fits the audience, the platform and the goal.
XOD works the same way. Three letters, endless readings. The name does on paper what we do in production.
So how do you pronounce it
However feels right to you. There is no official version and there never will be. When people ask, we tell them the name is open to interpretation, just like a good brief.
If you pronounce it your own way, you already understand how we think.
