Mapetrol: Making Motor Oil Look Good

The Challenge

Mapetrol has been making motor oils since 1922. They needed fresh visual content for their catalogs and social media. The problem: no actual retail store to showcase products, and they wanted to avoid the typical "boring motor oil" aesthetic while showing products in real-life situations.

Our Solution

We got creative with locations and storytelling across multiple photoshoots:

The Fake Shop

We transformed a bar into a Mapetrol shop overnight, creating retail imagery that looked completely authentic.

Garage Sessions

Shot in two different garages to show products in their natural environment—being used by real people in real situations.

European Locations

Captured content in Trieste, Italy and Izola, Slovenia to give the brand international appeal.

The Execution

Our team juggled multiple photoshoots across different locations, maintaining visual consistency while adapting to each unique space. Every shot was designed to feel authentic rather than staged—from workshop mechanics to retail displays.

What We Delivered

  • Complete visual library for catalogs and digital marketing

  • Authentic product-in-use photography

  • Retail environment imagery (without an actual store)

  • Social media content that doesn't look like typical industrial photography

  • Location-specific content with European character

The Result

We created diverse, realistic-looking product shots that work across all channels—from technical catalogs to Instagram posts. Motor oil never looked this approachable.
